REHABILITATION & INTEGRATION

One of our key aims is to prepare our students for life outside of Ohel Sarah.

Therapist:  I see that you have become a teacher of computers

Rifka:  yes, I have and I love it.  I have a lot of patience and can teach computer skills to other disabled children.

Therapist: How does that make you feel?

Rifka:  Wonderful, I am so grateful to Ohel Sarah for giving me these tools.

Therapist:  Benny you seem very busy during lunch.

Benny:  Yes, I have been chosen to serve lunch to the younger children – I even get paid for this.

As they get older, integration becomes more of a central theme and we prepare our students to take up employment and independent living within the local community.

Look good - Feel good

With our brand new, in-house beauty salon, students at Ohel Sarah are able to enjoy a wide range of cosmetics and beauty treatments on a regular basis. This helps build up their feeling of self-worth and encourages them to take an interest in their appearance. This is a vital step towards helping them integrate into society and making them feel like "real" young ladies.
